The Homematic IP Presence Sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects smallest movements in indoor rooms. After mounting the presence sensor to the ceiling, it is able to register even smallest movements (e.g. typing on a keyboard) in a radius of up to 3.5 m and a detection angle of approximately 105°. Larger movements are detected in a radius of up to 7 m. Apart from this, the integrated brightness sensor is able to detect changes in the brightness level. In this way, lights are switched on automatically if motion is detected. The presence sensor can also be used as sensitive sensor for alarm detection. To ensure the detection sensitivity also in case of increased room temperatures, the sensor automatically adapts to the respective conditions. The small sensor is mounted to the ceiling using the supplied screws and plugs. After installation, an integrated tamper contact reliably prevents from unintended changes of the presence sensor. As soon as the sensor unit is removed, a message is sent out via the Homematic IP app.
